STEP UP 2 THE STREETS doesn't really need a good script when the dancing is the real star here. The climatic dance in the rain is amazing. I have seen everything in the plot in other films, but the dancing is what makes STEP UP 2 stand out.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
The eight deleted scenes (with optional video commentary by director John Chu) feature 4 scenes cut for pacing that help lead up to the big dance off climax and two uncut dance performances.

Five music videos and a music outtake of Cassie performing "Is It You?" are also included on the DVD.

Actor Robert Hoffman has a video prank on the DVD too.

THROUGH FRESH EYES: THE MAKING OF STEP UP 2 is a 11 minute featurette that goes into how Jon M. Chu became a director and reinvented the story for STEP UP 2.

OUTLAWS OF HIP HOP: MEET THE "410" is all about the dancers.

Also there are five eatser eggs on the DVD: John Chu tells Brianna she got the lead role, background dancers, a day on the set, post-wrap dancing, and Adam kisses Cassie. Look at the bottom of the following menus: SetUp, Audio, Subtitles, Bonus Features, second page of deleted scenes.

FINAL ANALYSIS: The dancing is what will sell STEP UP 2 THE STREETS. If you're looking for a good plot, look elsewhere. The extras are entertaining enough for those who liked the film.
