Writer/ Director Guy Ritchie and actor Jason Statham have a great partnership when making British gangster films. In REVOLVER, Ritchie attacks the genre with a psychological twist. Jake Green (Jason Statham) has been in prison for years takes down crime Macha (Ray Liotta) in a game of chance after learning the perfect way to pull off any con game. Macha vows to have Green killed and Green finds himself being protected by two vicious loan sharks. Green learns who his greatest enemy is and how to face it. REVOLVER is all about games and egos. It blends psychology, chess, action, and unique editing to make a gangster flick like I have never seen before. REVOLVER is definitely worth watching multiple times.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Guy Ritchie and editor James Herbert provide an insightful production audio commentary for the film that is mixed with psychological talk.

Three featurettes are on the disc:
THE CONCEPT- how they edited the film
THE GAME: THE MAKING OF REVOLVER- behind-the-scenes of the film
THE MUSIC OF REVOLVER

Also included is a photo gallery, outtakes, and an extended trailer of the film set to music (I rather have had the original theatrical trailer). Rounding out the extras are a few previews for other films and an interesting selection of 7 deleted and extended scenes (some with introductions by Guy Ritchie). You can decide whether or not the deleted material gave away too much of the film or if some editing choices worked better.

FINAL ANALYSIS: REVOLVER is a film with many layers. watch it more than once. The deleted and extended scenes add to the experience. BR>
