ANALYSIS:
ITMAN is a film based on the popular video game. The church has raised a series of unnamed disposable assassins sent out to destroy evil. One of these assassins, 47 (Timothy Olyphant), is set-up and he goes out to get back at the people who put him in this position. Along for the ride is the mistress of his supposed target. It gets tricker when he learns that the target was the one who hired him to do the hit. On his trail is an Interpol agent and agents of the FSB (lead by the guy who plays T-Bag on PRISON BREAK).

HITMAN basically is an action film with a thin plot used as an excuse to have lots of gunplay and one sword fight in addition to having a beautiful Russian model show off her top assests. Timothy Olyphant is great and he shows his diversity as an actor to play a bad guy (LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) or an anti-hero (HITMAN). The scenery and direction are also top notch in HITMAN. Also the score by Geoff Zanelli is fantastic. It sounds like something straight out of the Bourne films. Enjoy HITMAN for the action. tHE UNRATED VERSION includes more blood and nudity.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
4 deleted scenes give different takes on scenes from the train platform sequence which is different from what is in the final film. The alternate ending is a little downbeat compared to the theatrical ending.

Trailers for LIONS FOR LAMBS, THE COMEBACKS, IN THE NAME OF THE KING, THE ONION MOVIE, and 24 Season 6 are alos included.

If you want behind-the-scenes featurettes, you will have to buy the Special edition which also includes a digital copy of the film.

FINAL ANALYSIS: HITMAN is great for action fans and to get a peak at the woman is the next Bond Girl.
