2 DAYS IN PARIS
DVD Review by David Blackwell

DETAILS: 104 minutes, Julie Delpy interview, extended scenes, trailers
VIDEO: 1.85:1 (Anamorphic Widescreen)
AUDIO: English/ French 5.1 Dolby Digital
Subtitles: English, Spanish

STUDIO: 20th Century Fox/ Samuel Goldwyn Films/ Red Box Entertainment
RELEASE DATE: 2-5-2008

2 DAYS IN PARIS revolves around a couple's visit to Paris during 2 days. It's her place of birth and she has taken her worry-wort asshole boyfriend (from New York City) to meet her parents. The film shows French view on relationships is different from American relationships. Also relationships anywhere are just as screwed up.

SPECIAL FEATURES: A few skippable trailers appear before the main menu. Also the disc has trailers for Blue State and The Savages. Four extended scenes and a scene where Adam Goldberg talks to Max The Cat are entertaining while a sixteen minute interview with writer/ director/ actor Julie Delpy (that can be played in 13 segements or together) give insight on the film. I wish she did an audio commentary.

FINAL ANALYSIS: 2 DAYS IN PARIS is a revealing film about a relationship, but I do wish the boyfriend was a less of an ass.
