WKRP IN CINCINNATI was one of those shows where music was intergal to the series.  However, the bad news is the music publishers ask too much and the budget for the DVD is so small.  Even if they increased it and increased the price, it still wouldn't cover teh costs of the music compared to hoiow many units will sell.   The harsh reality is each episode would cost up to $500,000 to clear the music.    Unless Fox can wrangle some good deals for music for season 2, the show will be released in such a compromised format.  It is a situation that FOX can't win.  Damned if you do or damned if you don't
