QUANTUM OF SOLACE is best viewed as s econd part of a film. It helps if you rewatch CASINO ROYALE. The beats in the action bring this out when you combine both films as one story. Daniel Craig is back as James Bond. QUANTUM OF SOLACE begins a few minutes after the end of CASINO ROYALE. Bond is transporting Mr. White to M while being chased by other cars with gunmen shooting from those cars. The opening sequence isn't bad, but it isn't as thrilling as many other openings seen in James Bond films. However, the film does get better from there except for the dreadful opening theme song which has good music exept the singing and lyrics are just downright awful.

Bond is out for vengeance against a mysterious organization called Quantum who made Vesper betray Bond. Bond's trail leads to a so-called eco company run by Domic Greene. Dominic and Quantum are helping a general gain control of Boliva again. Greene has the CIA fooled that his company has found oil while his plan is something else dealing with causinga drought. Bond teams up with Camille (Olga Kurylenko) who is out to kill the General who killed her family in front of her as a kid. Daniel Craig works as Bond. His anger flows as he tries to learn to forgive and say he was wrong (like in the case when he needs help from Mathis). Olga Kurylenko is excellent as Camille. QUANTUM OF SOLACE is closest to Bond films like FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, and LICENSE TO KILL. I wonder where the thing with QUANTUM will go since they are like a mysterious organization like SMERSH or SPECTRE. The scene at the opera house is a highlight as Bond starts to figure who is involved. Mr. White (the guy who Bond shot in the leg in CASINO ROYALE's end) is a very slippery character and I hope he returns for a future Bond film. Please see CASINO ROYALE again before watching this new Bond film. It will increase your enjoyment of this one.
