A Trio of young women on vacation in Spain decide to party with the crew of a yacht that involves sex and drugs.   Things spiral out of control in DONKEY PUNCH when one of them dies.  The guys have to decide what to do while the women want it to be known.  DONKEY PUNCH is a thriller that starts out fun only to turn dangerous and nasty as the violence and tension goes up as it is survival for all.   The actors and direction are top-notch for this low budget film in addition to the fun script.  The guy playing Bluey makes the character a guy you really want to hate.   The girls you want to live while sometimes thinking what is going on in their heads in addition to the crazy decisions the guys make.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

The deleted scenes were mostly cut for pacing or tension reasons.  They are interesting to watch and I wish three of them stayed in (like the first aborted escape attempt and the hidden flare scene).   The cast and director interviews reveal more about the making of the film (like the filming of the sex scene, filming in South Africa, and audience response) that the promotional MAKING OF DONKEY PUNCH featurette (where the copy I have has no audio for the interviews for Jay Taylor and Nichola Burley in that featurette).   Rounding out the extras are an audio commentary by the director (Olly Blackburn) and producer Angus Lamont, and trailers for all the film in the 6-Shooter Film Series (in addition to a trailer for MUTANT CHRONICLES).

FINAL ANALYSIS:  DONKEY PUNCH is an enjoyable thriller that will keep you on the edge while shouting out when the right people get it.
