STARRING Jason Statham, Natalya Rudakova, Robert Knepper

TRANSPORTER 3 is better than TRASNPORTER 2. IT is less over-the-top than the second one. Still I wish there was a bad guy as great as the slutty psychotic blond from TRANSPORTER 2. I have seen another film by director Olivier Megaton. The quick editing loses some of the focus Megaton's direction had in one of his previous films, RED SIREN. Natalya Rudakova is the latest sexy Russian/ east European model wanting to be an actress (actually she was a New York hair stylist discovered by Luc Besson while he was out walking NYC) while Robert Knepper gnaws at another bad guy role (I fear he is getting typecast since he was cast as T-Bag in PRISON BREAK). Jason Statham slides through the movie with his usual skill.

Jason is back as Frank as he is forced into another Trasporter job by the bad guy (Knepper) as Frank must transport Valentina (Rudakova). They are both wired with matching bracelets that will blow if they travel too far from Frank's car. The bad guy is trying to force Valentina's father to sign an agreement with a big company who wants to violate enviromental regulations as they're transporting toxic waste.

TRASNPORTER 3 is entertaining and yet I wonder if they could have done more by upping the action even more. Luc Besson helps to write another ijnstallment (how I miss him not directing movies). Jason Statham seems to do no wrong no matter how good or bad the film is (he survived IN THE NAME OF THE KING). Besson and his writing parter Robert Mark Kamen add some humor while finding a way to get Frank involved once again. I just hope there isn't a TRANSPORTER 4. Besson needs to find another character for Statham to play besides Frank. I just now wonder what Natalya Rudakova will do next.
