THE FINAL INQUIRY is a film about Taurus, a Roman commander, sent to Jerusalem (on a special mission from the Roman Emperor tro find out whether Jesus has come back from the dead. A few don't want the truth to be known and are out to discredit the new growing faith Jesus has started. Taurus has his servant (Dolph Lundgren) at his side. The production design and costume design is great in this film. the script isn't bad. It gives people a chance to decide for themselves. It doesn't preach too much. On the negative side, some of the acting seems like they were directed by Uwe Boll and some of Dolph Ludgren's fighting scenes are badly staged compared to anyone else fighting in any scene. THE FINAL INQUIRY is a well based film that will entertain while not being too religious. The balance of point-of-views and the history involved with the politics does make this film fascinating. Too bad they didn't have any extras related to the film on the disc. Still the film is worth a rental or a viewing whenever it comes up on a movie channel in the future.
