AB-NORMAL BEAUTY is a fascinating and yet disturbing film.  It shows the beauty of a relationship between two women, Jas and Jin, without nudity or kissing.  Also it shows the disturbing obsession that Jin develops with photographing death and the consequences of her actions.

SPECIAL FEATURES:  The short making of featurette about AB-NORMAL BEAUTY features interviews with the central cast and writer/director Oxide Pang.  It also shows deleted material not even in the deleted scnes section on the disc.  The 7 deleted scenes are interesting, but the Jas and Jin scenes sparkle.   tHe photo gallery is interesting in the way it looks like the photos are shown on the viewfinder of a camera.  The original theatrical trailer and previews for other Tartan Asia Extremes release round out the extras.

FINAL ANALYSIS:  AB-NORMAL BEAUTY is beautiful and disturbing.  Let's hope Hollywood never remakes this wonderful film like they did with THE EYE and the upcoming BANGKOK DANGEROUS (the remake stars Nicholas Cage).
